Justice Leanne Basett

The Supreme Court is sad to announce the passing of Justice Leanne Basett. She served from 2018 until her death on January 10, 2024. Her time on the Supreme Court played an important role for women across the nation, those women who say they don't think they could ever get on the Supreme Court. She was a model for what Jesstopian women can do and continue to do to this day.

She is being remembered as a strong fighter for women's rights, and advocated for protecting what a women can do with her body.
